Green and open spaces

Strolling round the piazza
and through the pedestrian streets of Covent Garden
is a vibrant experience. There are also hidden leafy
spots such as Embankment
Gardens and Phoenix
Garden.

With the only licenced street entertainers in London,
the piazza
has other milestones in entertainment,The first mention
of a Punch and Judy show that in Britain was recorded
by diarist Samuel Pepys in 1662. This took place in
the portico of St Pauls Church, later the setting for
the fateful meeting between Eliza Doolittle and Prof
Higgins in My Fair Lady/ Pygmalion).
