Writes Zoe Mercer from Frank Harris and Company estate agents in Stamford Street:
“New plans are being presented for a £600 million redevelopment of the area around Waterloo Station. The project, designed by Stirling Prize-winning architect Sir David Chipperfield, includes a 10,000 sq ft piazza plus two mixed use towers.
“Work could begin as early as next year should Lambeth Council issue planning approval. It is hoped that the scheme will attract firms to Waterloo and potentially pave the way for the redevelopment of the disused Eurostar development.
“Unsurprisingly, we believe this will only boost the area as a place to live. And one of the properties that we are marketing in the immediate area is a penthouse in the Whitehouse which is on the market for £1,725,000.”
